Firstly establish whether the shower is electric or mains operated (if there is a cord or switch then it is probably electric- CHECK THIS IS ON)
If it is not electric then it will be heated by the boiler so check you are getting hot water from other taps in the property. If you are not, your problem will be with you boiler. See the other FAQ for this.
